The first film in the Nobel Legacy Film Series, Mayan Renaissance, features 1992 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Rigoberta Menchú Tum of Guatemala.

Mayan Renaissance was released in May 2012 at the United Nation’s “World Forum on Indigenous Issues,” and has aired many times on Colorado Public Television. The film has received wonderful critical reviews and won best “Colorado Filmmaker Documentary” at the Film Festival of Colorado. 

This film will be featured on PBS, online, on DVD, and it will also become a permanent part of the PeaceJam Curriculum for students in educational settings worldwide.
